Up for sale is an ultra rare vintage ALBA Y744-5000 Mickey Mouse digital watch from the 1980s, released exclusively for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM). This model was produced under Alba (by Seiko) in partnership with Disney and is highly collectible among vintage Disney watch collectors and digital watch enthusiasts.
The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions operate properly, including timekeeping, date display, illumination, and animation. One of the most unique features of this model is the animated display where Mickey Mouse’s eyes light up in a sequence when activated — an effect that gives the watch tons of charm and character.
All parts of the watch are original, including the case, module, buttons, and strap. The watch is in fantastic physical condition for its age. The digital display is clean and the case plating, dial art, and strap show extremely well. Please review the photos carefully, as they best represent the watch’s physical condition.

► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY
Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
